That's why I'm using words like 'it's more likely.' I am aware that that some of this is speculation and not fact as of right now.
The only thing we know about the word Tenstu is that it's written on a bottle inside crates where the D-Series are found. That's hardly evidence it's the name of the company. It is possible that the name of the company is 'The Connection,' but that's also unconfirmed. HCF did indeed work with them and provided technical support on the E-series.The new Umbrella's logo was always the logo shown on the photo. Although it's hard to tell if it's Blue or 'Red' from UMBRELLA CORPS. It looks red, yet it has the added white outline from Blue. It's debated if Blue Umbrella caused Eveline getting out on the ship. Either they or another company attacked them, (Alan: 'She must have wounded me in the attack.'
) or she just got out due to Alan's negligence. Regardless, they started monitoring the plantation right after she got there, according to the japanese guidebook. Yes, we could see Sheng-Ya again and they could have more mercs, but it just looks like they were used as a device for the Kodoku virus and to tie in with UMBRELLA CORPS. It is possible. As for Blue Umbrella being the rival company:You already mentioned the file found in BIO7 confirming that HCF worked on Eveline. This project was instigated in 2000 as one of several concepts for the company's NEXBAS (next-generation experimental battlefield superiority) initiative, working with technical assistance from H.C.F, to develop a bioweapon for neutralizing combatants en masse with minimal direct contact.Although NEXBAS was something invented for the english translation and is not present in the japanese text, so you can omit that from the canon. It would explain why Blue Umbrella have been monitoring them for so long.
They helped create her, now they want data and possible want to take her back after their assistance back in 2000.Additionally, in UMBRELLA CORPS, the new Umbrella is described as being run by 'the executive' (the Commander in the english version), someone who has intimate knowledge of the Village incident in 2004.That man seems very interested in this village. The way he talks about it.it's almost like he was there when everything wend down. Just who is this guy?Wesker was leading the Rival Company before he left, and he had intimate knowledge of the Village in 2004 as he was monitoring everything via satellite.I'm fascinated by what happened in the past.I have to figure out who he is. If I can just access the DNA data that's in the archives.Just who is this guy, and why is everyone so terrified of him?It seems it's being suggested that this individual is Wesker revived somehow.
You can also hear Wesker's voice saying things like'Our resurrection is at hand.' As in, he is leading the Rival Company again, and this time, they will be ressurrected into Blue Umbrella in the eyes of the public. And judging by the pamphlet released with the Albert-01, they have been resurrected publicly, giving the BSAA weapons to test. Although they are still an evil organization, looking at UMBRELLA CORPS where they murder their own employees and send their mercs to die, as well as pitting them against each other to 'weed out the weak.'
They also state'You're not even fit to fight BSAA rejects.' 'With this data and your skills, not even the BSAA will stand a chance!'
Wesker took the UMF 013 supercomputer to the rival company when he died, so he would have intimate knowledge of the old Umbrella's research, which the new Umbrella obviously has as shown in UMBRELLA CORPS.And finally, HCF's and the new Umbrella's uniforms look strikingly similiar. NSFW. SPOILER. Tentsu is likely a name of a product, not the company. Sheng-Ya is only mentioned in UC as a patch, along with 9 other corporations.
In the manga, You are told the Sheng Ya mercs zombie jammers are purchased from a 'mysterious organization,' which is developed in UC by in The new Umbrella. So they cannot be the company from UC. In addition, Sheng-Yas mercs are completely wiped out at the end of Heavenly Island when their own spy injects the Kodoku virus.
It's unlikely we'll hear from them again. There's a decent amount of evidence that Blue Umbrella is in fact the rival company if you know where to look and are familiar with the series. BIO7 clearly shows that Blue Umbrella and the company that created the E-Series are separate and at odds with each other.
There's no evidence to suggest Sheng-Ya even existed prior to 2012, let alone be the rival company. NSFW. SPOILER.
Oh boy shitting on Sega's mandate for Sonic which is almost as ridiculous as Square's mandate for FF stuff in Smash. Can't have Mighty and Ray, popular characters, appear in modern Sonic games because it'll confuse people. But it's not like the current games are actually focus on some kind of over arcing story line.Sonic must always win. What kind of mandate is that? Duh?Sonic can't express any emotion other than cockiness. One of the reasons the Sonic movie was great was that Sonic was feeling things like being sad and angry. Oh goddamnit, that means Sega will try to force their nonsense for the sequel.

Oh goddamnit, that means Sega will try to force their nonsense for the sequel. It feels like Insomniac was the only one of the three Playstation platformer mascot developers (the others being Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch) to not entirely leave behind their cartoony roots. As in sure, we got stuff like Resistance from them, but they also still kept making Ratchet & Clank games along the way. Unlike how Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch eventually left their older cartoonier IPs like Crash, Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper behind in favor of games with more realistic art styles like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Infamous and Ghost of Tsushima. The Jak series has some serious issue with consistent narrative writing because of Naughty Dog's consistent habit of trend chasing the hell out of whatever was the new hotness at the time of development during each entry (which to be fair sums up their entire career)Remember that time Jak III casually had Jak cheating on his love interest? And how they had to backtrack the fuck out of it in Jak X because fans were pissed off at Naughty Dog trying to give him an edgier love interest?I will say one thing about Jak X though; it seemed to be the first time the devs were aware how Jak had been written as a pretty hypocritical sociopath with blood on his hands over the last few games (and who for many reasons I won't get into here, had nowhere near the same level of deliberate pretext as Ratchet had in his original trilogy - something the Future/Reboot games get wrong).
And it also results in one of the most fucking hilarious endings in any game ever that showed how little of a shit the writers cared to rationalize having gone in too deep by that point.
